Cardio conditioning comes primarily from “aerobic” exercise. It stimulates cardiac efficiency by increasing cardiac rate, cardiac muscle tone and the ability of the heart and other muscles to extract oxygen from our blood. It also simultaneously increases our respiratory ability and efficiency.

Strength training increases both the strength and mass of our muscle and muscle fibers. Our muscles become more efficient and can better extract and utilize nutrients and oxygen from the blood.
